Es muy interesante esta temática, sobre todo porque, diariamente contribuímos a la generación de los mismos. Vamos al dentista, nos hacemos estudios de laboratorio, llevamos nuestras mascotas al veterinario, etc... Pero ¿sabemos que sucede luego con "nuestras poseciones"?
Son considerados como residuos patológicos todos aquellos que poseen características infecciosas, es decir aquellos que contienen potencialmente microorganísmos patógenos, capeces de causar enfermedades.
Hace unos días, me perdí en la web, y oh casualidad encontré el sitio del Diario de San Rafael en donde en un artículo trataban esta temática. Allí le realizan una entrevista al Sr Barandalla quien puntualizó "no hay un plan definido para el tratamiento de estos residuos, pero nos contactamos con una empresa de Buenos Aires que efectuó una propuesta... con la posibilidad de tratar también los patológicos". Y ahí comencé a asustarme. Pero luego seguí leyendo y me tranquilicé, se cumple con la ley 24.051, y los residuos son segregados en bolsas de color rojo de 120 micrones. Me volvió el alma al cuerpo...
Pero luego abrí una publicación, de un estudio realizado por profesionales locales, en donde actualmente no está tan clara y definida esta gestión y tratamiento de los residuos. Mi pregunta es ¿cuánto vale la salud pública? ¿estamos concientes de los residuos que generamos?
Solo cabe esperar, y mientras tanto prender una velita, para que este nuevo vertedero a cielo abierto no termine como el anterior.
